Mordimort and Keith both come from the desert, so of course they wouldn’t wear as much clothing since the weather is so hot. While Nonoka, Hilda, Popo, and Mordi’s outfits are revealing, they acknowledge and poke fun at these facts (ex: Alto commenting how Nonoka’s outfit is counterproductive for being a shinobi, Lisette’s mom offering to make Hilda a new outfit since she wears so little clothes, and Sakuya referring to Popo as “the one who shows her belly). Ok, as much as I think oversexualization in video games is a problem, Stella Glow is not insulting in the slightest. So, just a heads up to any of my fellow female-identifying gamers, be mentally prepared to be insulted at every turn if you pick up this 3DS game. Inconsistency and double standards everywhere.īy the way the dialog, plot, design and even mechanics in the game are so horribly, horrendously, so-blatantly-sexist-I-can’t-believe-it-was-released-in-2015. He’s the “Conductor,” which basically just means that he controls, and is in charge of all the witches. One could say that ridiculous “they don’t need armor because magic” argument when talking about the witches, but then that should apply to generic-her-boy-Alto the most because he’s one of the most powerful magic wielder in the whole story. Because let’s be honest, I’m not sure everyone could handle the male-empowerment that Keith displays. Alto is the player-character, so of course the game wouldn’t have you play as say, Keith, because they want to be extra sure that your fully clothed at all times. Ewan’s wearing shorts so that’s, uhh…something? The most revealing armour a guy wears is Keith, which only has a bare stomach.

#STELLA GLOW RUSTY FULL#
There’s another female character, Giselle, but I wasn’t sure if she counted as having ridiculous “armour” because she’s a “robot.” And also her appearance is a bit of a plot-reveal, and I was hesitant to get into spoilers.īut most of the guys wear full body armour and clothes: Alto, Klaus, Rusty, Archibald, Ewan, Dante, and Hrodolf. I couldn’t quickly find a picture of Medea, but just imagine a woman wearing nothing but a strip of cloth over her nipples and crotch, and that’s what she looks like. Nonoka, Dorothy, Veronica, and Medea (although Medea doesn’t fight, she’s just an npc in town). Then there’s a bunch of female characters with ridiculous clothes for combat. Sakura’s prior job was a performer of sorts, so her dress isn’t a problem for her job, but she continues to wear it into combat, which makes no sense at all. I’m only discussing characters that show up in the actual combat segments of the game.Īll 5 Witches, Hilda, Lisette, Popo, Saukya, and Mordimort all wear frilly dresses all the time into battle. Every characters only has one costume which they wear inside and outside of battle (there are some exceptions in a few cutscenes). saw this post on Stella Glow, and I wanted to add some more, since I played that game a while ago almost to completion (after 70 hours of playing I got tired and had to do something else). I tried submitting but I think the pictures didn’t work, so I’ll try this instead.
